•      Stereo Mic Techniques

•      Monitoring/Recording path

•      Micing instruments

•      Dynamic

•      Condenser

•      Tube

•      Ribbon

•      Recording direct

ENGINEERING WEEK 3-WEDNESDAY, CLASS (3)
Outboard Gear and Plug-ins

•      Patch bay and outboard gear signal flow

•      Aux-sends, Headphone mix

•      Basic EQ

•      Parametric, half-parametric, shelf, filter

•      Frequencies, Q, and gain

•      Basic Compression/Limiting

•      Threshold, ratio, attack, release, gain

•      Introduction to DAW

•      Setting up a DAW session

•      Basic DAW signal flow

•      Aux sends and plug-ins

•      Basic editing functions of DAWs

ENGINEERING WEEK 4-THURSDAY, CLASS (4)
Basic Mixing Techniques

 

•      Basic mixing theory  

•      Effective stereo imaging

•      Achieving balance and clarity in a mix

•      Creating depth in a mix
•      Dynamics processing techniques
•      Using EQ in a mix
•      Using reverb and delay in a mix
